Air Fryer Two-Ingredient Barbecue Pulled Jackfruit
This recipe for air fryer BBQ pulled jackfruit is a great substitute for pulled pork and takes on the taste of the BBQ sauce.
Jackfruit is not only very cheap and full of nutrients (vitamin C, potassium and fiber) but also adopts the flavor of whatever you cook it in. In this case the BBQ sauce gives the jackfruit a sweet and tangy flavour. It also air fries in minutes.
Steps to make Air Fryer Two-Ingredient Barbecue Pulled Jackfruit
Step 1. Add BBQ sauce and jackfruit to a bowl and mix
Toss jackfruit with 1/3 cup barbecue sauce in a medium bowl
Step 2. Preheat your air fryer
Preheat air fryer at 375°F for 3 minutes.
Step 3. Air fry the jackfruit
Place jackfruit into air fryer basket lightly greased with preferred cooking oil. Cook 5 minutes. Shake basket. Cook an additional 5 minutes.
Step 4. Add remaining sauce and shred jackfruit
Transfer jackfruit to a medium bowl. Add remaining sauce. Using two forks, pull apart jackfruit to resemble pulled pork. Serve warm
